Cozy apartment of 70 sqm, able to accommodate up to 2 people, located on the ground floor of a building in the historic center of Syracuse. The accommodation is located on Ortigia Island, a short walk from the Market, the Temple of Apollo and many other points of interest. Possibility of free parking in the street or for a fee at Talete Parking 4 minutes on foot from the property.

The inside is organized as follows:

-> LOWER LEVEL
- LIVING ROOM with dining table, TV 43" and split A/C;
- KITCHEN with induction hob, fridge, kettle, cooking utensils and wine glasses;
- BATHROOM with shower, washbasin and toilet.

-> UPPER LEVEL
- BEDROOM with double bed, clothes stand and split A/C.

FURTHER SERVICES AVAILABLE TO GUESTS: unlimited wifi, air conditioning and heating via split (one in the living room and one in the bedroom), hairdryer, drying rack, safe, iron and ironing board.

PLEASE NOTE: there is no door in the bedroom.
There is a small step at the entrance of the apartment.

The island of Ortigia is located in ZTL (days and closing times vary depending on the season).

The apartmet is for the exclusive use of our guests and won't be shared with the host or other tenants.

To ensure the security of your personal data, 7 days before your arrival you will receive instructions to register your documents via our Guest Portal and to pay the tourist tax (4% of the cost of the stay up to a maximum of €5.00 per person per night of stay, up to a maximum of 7 nights).
We need such procedure to verify your ids and docs and in order to send info to the police service "Alloggiati Web" which is Italian procedure to host guest in italy.

Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 6/10/2022 n.383).
Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings.
Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.
Syracuse Climatic Zone B: 7 hours a day from December 8th to March 23rd.

Check-in will take place in online self check-in mode, completing registration is MANDATORY in order to receive instructions on how to collect the keys and access the apartment.
Keys can be collected free of charge via on-site keybox.
In case of problems, telephone assistance will be guaranteed until 10pm.

If you wish to receive the keys from a member of our staff in the apartment, it is possible, upon request with payment of a supplement equal to:
- From 15:00 to 21:00: EUR 15.00;
- From 21:00 to 23:00: EUR 25.00.

The apartment is located in the heart of the wonderful island of Ortigia, a few steps from the Temple of Apollo, one of the most important monuments of the city. In just two minutes on foot it is also possible also to reach the daily market (every day except Sunday), a typical market full of local products and street food, where you can shop and taste local delicacies.
Walking through the streets of the island, it is possible to admire centuries of history, splendid palaces, lively trattorias and cafes, as well as other monuments such as the Castle of Maniace, the Fonte Aretusa and the Piazza del Duomo.
In the area it is possible to find many other services such as a bank, a post office, a minimarket, restaurants, bars, shops and much more.

Main points of interest:
- Temple of Apollo: 2 minutes on foot;
- Piazza Duomo / Temple of Athena: 7 minutes on foot;
- Fonte Aretusa: 11 minutes on foot;
- Cala Rossa beach: 12 minutes on foot;
- Castle of Maniace: 18 minutes on foot.

- Barcollo (bar): 2 minutes on foot- 130 metres;
- Trattoria del Buongustaio (restaurant): 1 minute on foot - 40 metres;
- Market: 1 minute on foot - 30 metres;
- incoop (supermarket): 3 minutes on foot - 290 meters.

Near the apartment, it is possible to find "Talete" electric minibus stop (one run every 30 minutes, from 8:00 to 20:00, one-way price of 1 euro) which will allow you to comfortably reach some of the main points of interest in the city:
- The Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime;
- The Paolo Orsi museum;
- The Archaeological Park of Neapolis;
- The Fonte Aretusa;
- The Castle of Maniace;
- The bus and train station.

The main towns of Sicily can be reached by Interbus coaches from the central station (via Rubino), where the shuttles to Catania-Fontanarossa airport also depart (approximately 1 hour journey).

- FROM CATANIA AIRPORT: it is possible to reach the apartment by taking the ALIBUS bus service that connects Catania airport to Catania Central Station, where it is possible to take the regional train to Syracuse station, less than 20 minutes on foot from the property.
Alternatively, it is possible to reach the apartment from the airport by taking Interbus bus, up to Syracuse Station.

- FROM SYRACUSE STATION: it is possible to reach the apartment on foot in less than 20 minutes or by taking the minibus.

- IF YOU ARE TRAVELING BY CAR: The nearest car park is 450m away from the apartment and is called “Talete”. It’s open 24/7, with convenient fares.
Alternatively, it is possible to park for free a few steps from the property (NOT guaranteed and NOT bookable) in via Riva della Posta or in front of Piazza Cesare Battisti.
