In a few minutes on foot you can reach the main points of interest and in about 10 minutes on foot you can reach the spectacular island of Ortigia.
The accommodation consists of a living room with kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom.

The internal space
The 45 sqm apartment is located on the first floor of a building WITHOUT a lift (stairs to access it).

The internal space is organized as follows:
- LIVING ROOM with kitchenette (gas hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine, moka, kettle, microwave, kitchen utensils and wine glasses), sofa, dining table, portable fan, TV and split A/ C;
- BEDROOM with double bed, wardrobe, TV and split A/C;
- BATHROOM with shower, sink, bidet and toilet.

FURTHER SERVICES AVAILABLE TO GUESTS: unlimited wifi, independent heating, split air conditioning (ONLY in the living room and bedroom), hairdryer, clothesline, iron and ironing board.

Guests' access
The apartmet is for the exclusive use of our guests and won't be shared with the host or other tenants.

Other details to be noted
To ensure the security of your personal data, 7 days before your arrival you will receive instructions to register your documents via our Guest Portal and to pay the tourist tax (4% of the cost of the stay up to a maximum of €5.00 per person per night of stay, up to a maximum of 7 nights).

Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 6/10/2022 n.383).
Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings.
Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.
Syracuse Climatic Zone B: 7 hours a day from December 8th to March 23rd.

Check-in will take place in online self check-in mode, completing registration is MANDATORY in order to receive instructions on how to collect the keys and access the apartment.
Keys can be collected free of charge via on-site keybox.
In case of problems, telephone assistance will be guaranteed until 10pm.

If you wish to receive the keys from a member of our staff in the apartment, it is possible, upon request with payment of a supplement equal to:
- From 15:00 to 21:00: €15.00;
- From 21:00 to 23:00: €25.00.

Description of the area
The apartment is located in the historic district of the village of Santa Lucia, a few minutes walk from the main points of interest and about 8 minutes by car from the island of Ortiga (20 minutes on foot), with its seafront. Walking through its streets it is possible to admire centuries of history, splendid buildings, lively trattorias and cafés, as well as monuments such as the Maniace Castle, the Fonte Aretusa, the ancient temple of Apollo and, absolutely not to be missed, the Piazza del Duomo , one of the most spectacular in all of Sicily. In summer you can swim off the rocks or on some small beaches and solariums along the seafront.

Main points of interest:
- Basilica Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime: 11 minutes on foot;
- Catacombs of San Giovanni: 13 minutes on foot;
- Neapolis Archaeological Park: 20 minutes on foot;
- Ortigia Island: 20 minutes on foot / 8 minutes by car.

- Decò (supermarket): 7 minutes on foot;
- Red Moon (fish restaurant): 6 minutes on foot;
- Bar Pasticceria Midolo: 7 minutes on foot.

Getting around
- FROM CATANIA AIRPORT: it is possible to reach the apartment by taking the ALIBUS bus service which connects Catania airport to Catania Central Station, where it is possible to take the regional train to Siracusa station, a 12-minute walk from the property.
Alternatively, from the airport it is possible to reach the apartment by taking the Interbus bus to Syracuse station.

- FROM SYRACUSE STATION: it is possible to reach the apartment on foot in approximately 13 minutes, or using the internal buses.

- IF YOU TRAVEL BY CAR, the parking space is not included; however it is possible to park for free on the street (NOT guaranteed); or for a fee at the Von Platen car park, in via Augusto Von Platen 40, a 14-minute walk from the property.
