50sqm apartment with panoramic terrace that can accommodate up to 4 people. Located on the second floor, without lift, of a typical Syracusan palace, the apartment is located a few steps from the temple of Apollo and the market, in the heart of Ortigia.
The property is located within the restricted traffic area, ideally located for visiting the city on foot, immersing yourself in Ortigia's characteristic atmosphere.

The inside is organized as follows:
-LIVING AREA: double bed and a half mezzanine, sofa bed, split A/C, Smart TV (no antenna), dining table, access to the balcony (equipped with a small table and two chairs).
-KITCHENETTE: induction hob, fridge, kettle and moka.
-BATHROOM: shower, bidet and toilet.
-TERRACE: panoramic terrace with outdoor furniture: dining table, chairs and bench. THERE IS NO UMBRELLA.

FURTHER SERVICES AVAILABLE TO GUESTS: unlimited wifi, split A/C with heat pump, fan, iron and ironing board, clothesline, clothes stand, hairdryer.
Towels and bed linen included (with optional changes for a fee).

PLEASE NOTE: if you're travelling with small children pay attention to the internal stairs.

The apartment is for the exclusive use of our guests and won't be shared with the host or other tenants.

The apartment is located a few steps away from the Temple of Apollo, one of the most important monuments in Ortigia, the first one to have been erected in Syracuse. Datable to the beginning of the 6th century BC it is therefore the oldest Doric temple in Sicily, and it is possible to admire its remains directly from the apartment terrace located on the second floor.
In three minutes on foot you can easily reach the daily market (every day except Sunday), a typical market full of local products and street food, where you can shop and eat local delicacies. The stalls of fresh fruit, vegetables and seasonal vegetables are the masters in terms of colors. The stalls of fish and crustaceans represent a typically Sicilian uniqueness and it is possible to find many of the Mediterranean fish varieties. Don't miss the Sicilian cheese and cured meats shops, true delicacies of the Sicilian tradition.
The apartment is close to the mini bus stop, this will allow you to move easily around the city and reach the Archaeological Park of Neapolis with its Greek Theater, the San Giovanni catacombs, the Paolo Orsi museum, the Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime, the natural reserve of the Ciane river on whose banks grows the papyrus, the protected marine natural area of ​​Plemmirio (paradise for hikers and walkers), the bus and train station.

In the area you will find many other services such as bank, post office, mini markets, restaurants, bars, shops and much more.

- From Catania airport it is possible to reach Catania Train Station, where it is possible to take the Regional / Intercity train to Syracuse. It is possible to reach Ortigia by public transportation (electric bus).

PLEASE NOTE: Ortigia is located in the Traffic-Restricted Area -ZTL in Italian- (closing days and times depending on the season).

The nearest parking lot is 400m away from the apartment and it’s called “Talete”. It’s open 24/7 at convenient fares.

To ensure the security of your personal data, 7 days before your arrival you will receive instructions to register your documents via our Guest Portal and to pay the tourist tax (4% of the cost of the stay up to a maximum of €5.00 per person per night of stay, up to a maximum of 7 nights).

Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 6/10/2022 n.383).
Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings.
Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.
Syracuse Climatic Zone B: 7 hours a day from December 8th to March 23rd.

Check-in will take place in online self check-in mode, completing registration is MANDATORY in order to receive instructions on how to collect the keys and access the apartment.
Keys can be collected free of charge via on-site keybox.
In case of problems, telephone assistance will be guaranteed until 10pm.

If you wish to receive the keys from a member of our staff in the apartment, it is possible, upon request with payment of a supplement equal to:
- From 15:00 to 21:00: €15.00;
- From 21:00 to 23:00: €25.00.
