The Arches of Ortygia - Cala Rossa Cozy Apartment

Cozy flat of 70 sqm, for 2 people, located on the ground floor of a historic building (some steps to access). The property is located in the heart of Ortigia (Restricted-Traffic Area), a few steps from the main attractions of the historic center, in "Lungomare di Levante" area, just 130 meters from Cala Rossa, with access to the sea.
The accommodation consists of a living area with a kitchenette, a bedroom and a bathroom.

The inside is organized as follows:
- LIVING ROOM with KITCHENETTE (gas hob with 4 burners, fridge with freezer, moka coffee maker, microwave oven, wine glasses and kitchenware), dining table, double sofa bed and smart TV (NO cable channels) ;
- BEDROOM with double bed, armchair and chest of drawers;
- BATHROOM with shower, sink, bidet and toilet;
- Small table and chairs for breakfast (outdoor).

FURTHER SERVICES AVAILABLE TO GUESTS: unlimited wifi, air conditioning with heat pumps (split in the living room and in the bedroom), washing machine (in the bathroom), iron and ironing board, hairdryer and drying rack.
Cot and high chair available on request and upon reservation.

The apartmet is for the exclusive use of our guests and won't be shared with the host or other tenants.

We are happy to organize early check-in when there are no other guests leaving the apartment on that same day; however, it will not be possible to arrange late check-out. If you need assistance for luggage storage, we can recommend you an affiliated structure.

To ensure the security of your personal data, 7 days before your arrival you will receive instructions to register your documents via our Guest Portal and to pay the tourist tax (4% of the cost of the stay up to a maximum of €5.00 per person per night of stay, up to a maximum of 7 nights).
We need such procedure to verify your ids and docs and in order to send info to the police service "Alloggiati Web" which is Italian procedure to host guest in italy.

Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 6/10/2022 n.383).
Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings.
Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.
Syracuse Climatic Zone B: 7 hours a day from December 8th to March 23rd.

Check-in will take place in online self check-in mode, completing registration is MANDATORY in order to receive instructions on how to collect the keys and access the apartment.
Keys can be collected free of charge via on-site keybox.
In case of problems, telephone assistance will be guaranteed until 10pm.

If you wish to receive the keys from a member of our staff in the apartment, it is possible, upon request with payment of a supplement equal to:
- From 15:00 to 21:00: EUR 15.00;
- From 21:00 to 23:00: EUR 25.00.

The apartment is located in the heart of the wonderful island of Ortigia, on the Levante seafront: Cala Rossa, with access to the sea, is just 130 meters from our structure.
Walking through the streets of the island, it is possible to admire centuries of history, splendid palaces, lively trattorias and cafes, as well as other monuments such as the Maniace Castle, the Temple of Apollo, the Fonte Aretusa and the Piazza del Duomo, one of the most spectacular throughout Sicily. In summer it is possible to swim off the rocks or on some small beaches and solariums along the seafront. Breathtaking panoramas can be admired throughout the year.

- Cala Rossa: 1 minute on foot;
- Fonte Aretusa: 3 minutes on foot;
- Piazza Duomo/Temple of Athena: 4 minutes on foot;
- Fountain of Diana: 5 minutes on foot;
- Maniace Castle: 9 minutes on foot;
- Temple of Apollo: 9 minutes on foot.

- Trattoria La Pigna (restaurant): 3 minutes on foot (200 meters);
- Caffè Aretusa (bar): 3 minutes on foot (260 meters);
- InCoop (supermarket): 7 minutes on foot (600 meters).

- FROM CATANIA AIRPORT: it is possible to reach the apartment by taking the ALIBUS bus service that connects Catania airport to Catania Central Station, where it is possible to take the regional train to Syracuse station, 25 minutes on foot from the property.
Alternatively, it is possible to reach the apartment from the airport by taking Interbus bus, up to Syracuse Station.

- FROM SYRACUSE STATION: it is possible to reach the apartment on foot in about 25 minutes, or with the internal buses.

- IF YOU ARE TRAVELING BY CAR: The nearest car park is 900m away from the apartment and is called “Talete”. It’s open 24/7, with convenient fares.
Alternatively, it is possible to park for free a few steps from the property (NOT guaranteed and NOT bookable) in front of Piazza Cesare Battisti.
